Due to the construction activities occurring in Rio de Janeiro due to the World Cup and the Olympic games, this project posed a great challenge. During that period there was a huge demand for raw materials and a lack of skilled labor. Another factor that required logistics and supply planning was the amount of imported materials from various parts of the world.
Added to these factors were the requirements as to the quality and details of the building’s finish.
Care was taken to follow LEED certification requirements set forth by the Hilton brand for design and construction of an environmentally and socially sustainable five-star hotel.
