Our awards and achievements

The quality of the engineering solutions that we offer is the result of our commitment to our clients, partners and suppliers our transparent, ethical and responsible attitude and the appreciation that we have for those who work with us on a daily basis.

An award can be seen as a performance indicator or as a trophy. We choose the first option as we believe that the awards we win are indicators of our business performance. We are no doubt proud of these awards, but we also understand that they act as drivers for our continuous improvement.

The following awards were won by Racional Engenharia over the years:

  • Workplace Safety Management - Jaguar Land Rover

    In 2016, Racional won recognition from Jaguar Land Rover for the workplace safety management in the construction site where the first plant outside United Kingdom was built, in Itatiaia/RJ, Brazil. The milestone of 1 million and 300 thousand hours without lost-time incident was reached, even surpassing the performance obtained during the construction works at London Olympic Games. Racional attributes this spectacular result to the trustworthy relationship and partnership with Jaguar Land Rover since the beginning of the Project, cumulated with our team commitment and safety culture that we encourage throughout our history.

  • Best Construction and Engineering Company in Brazil – Valor 1000 Award

    Sponsored by Valor Econômico newspaper, Racional Engenharia was recognized as the best Construction and Engineering company in Brazil in 2013.

  • Valor 1000

    In the ranking by industry sector conducted by Valor Econômico newspaper Racional Engenharia was second in profitability and third in asset turnover. This study compiles the top 1,000 Brazilian companies of the year and rewards those who achieved best performance on indicators such as financial stability, profitability, growth, risk and value created from business management.

  • ITC Award

    From 2009 to 2012 Racional was recognized as the largest and most sustainable construction company in the commercial segment by the ITC Ranking. Racional had previously been granted the ITC Award in the industrial segment in 2008. The ITC SustentaX Award was introduced in 2010 and Racional was recognized as the most sustainable construction company in the Brazilian civil construction market.

  • Ford Q1 Award

    Racional Engenharia is the first Brazilian construction company to join a most prestigious group of key Ford suppliers who have achieved a high level of excellence in strategic areas for Ford. The Ford Q1 Award enables Racional to undertake construction work for Ford internationally.

  • Ford Motor Company

    Racional won the three most important awards granted by Ford Motor Company in 2000: Supplier of the Year Award in the Services category, the Ford Motor Company Brazil Excellence Award for the engineering and construction projects undertaken for Ford and the Gold World Excellence Award which placed Racional among the best in the world in services provided to Ford.

  • Seconci-SP Workplace Health and Safety Award

    Racional was a five-time winner in the first two editions of this award. In 2014, Racional’s CEO Newton Simões was presented with the Personality of the Year Award and two company construction projects won the Gold rating in their categories: Health Control on Construction Sites (B32 Commercial Building) and Environmental Management of the Area Surrounding Construction Sites (Itaú Technology Center).

  • 1st Seconci-SP Environment Award 2014

    Racional Engenharia was awarded the Gold rating in Environmental Management of the Area Surrounding Construction Sites (Itaú Technology Center).

  • ADVB Top Ecology Award

    Racional won the ADVB Top Ecology Award in 2002 and 2003 for its Environmental Management Program. The award is sponsored by the Association of Brazilian Sales Managers (ADVB).

  • Supplier of the Year Awards

    During its first decade activity, Racional was recognized as Supplier of the Year by three major clients: IBM do Brasil, Banco Real and Xerox in 1982, 1984 and 1986, respectively.
