Racional

TV Globo Headquarters

Racional was commissioned for construction of TV Globo headquarters in São Paulo. The facility is comprised of studios, technical centers, control rooms, newsrooms, islands, booths and broadcast station.

 

The two buildings were especially designed and built to produce news and entertainment using state-of-the-art technology. TV Globo is the first television broadcast network in Brazil to operate with an entirely digital signal.

 

Racional was hired under a Design and Build contract and was responsible for development, engineering designs, coordination and execution of the entire project.

    As a mission critical facility, this project required special attention in the installation of databases and optical fiber hubs.

     

    The studios feature acoustic insulation and required special materials and techniques to ensure total noise sealing of recording studios.

     

    This was the first project in Brazil under a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) contract.
